**Overview of the Games:**

Math is the basis of science and arithmetic operations: +, -, *, and / are the building blocks of math.

Normally, we are given a set of numbers and want to find its sum. Sumtate reverses this arithmetic thinking. For example, given the number 7, we want to find which numbers could add up to 7. This is an example of simple logic analysis. This game uses the digits from 2 to 9. To make 7, we could use any of the following sets of numbers: {7}, {2, 5}, {3, 4}, and {2, 2, 3}.

The** Sum** game is for 1 to 2 players. The player is given thirty-six numbers, from 2 to 9. The player needs to select a combination of numbers that adds up to the randomly-generated target number. The goal of the game is to use all the numbers on the board.

- Player A plays first. Player B plays next.
- For each player, it will generate thirty six integers between 2 and 9 inclusive and a target between 2 and 19 inclusive.
- The player needs to select a set of integers such that the sum of selected integers is equal to the target. The selected integers are highlighted. If the highlighted integers are touched again, its highlight is removed.
- When the sum of selected integers is equal to the target, the Take button will become available. The player could change the selected integers or touch the Take button to accept the selected integers.
- If the player touch the Take button, the number of selected integers is the score the player wins this time. The score will be accumulated and displayed in the score area. The squares that contained these selected integers will become blank.
- After the player accepts the selected integers, it will generate a new target and the same player could continue to play the game.
- When the first player could not select any set of integers to generate the target, the Switch button will become available.
- When the Switch button is touched, it becomes the second player’s turn.
- The second player will repeat the same steps.
- When the second player could not select any set of integers to generate the target, the Switch button will become available again.
- When the Switch button is touched, it will start a new game. Player A plays first. Player B plays next.
